Happy Birthday Canada
Celebrate Canada's birthday at the Festival of Lights in Charlottetown, the Birthplace of Confederation! This three-day, action-packed party takes place on Charlottetown's historic waterfront, and it's the largest Canada Day celebration east of Ottawa. Festival-goers will enjoy 25 hours of concerts, family fun, buskers, and a midway, all leading up to a big bang on July 1 with the largest fireworks show in Atlantic Canada.
Jazz and Blues Festival
Experience live, world-class musical performances as the streets of downtown Charlottetown come alive with the sound of jazz and blues! This four-day festival, July 5-8, is jam-packed with local, national and internationally renowned jazz and blues artists.
Summerside Lobster Carnival
Did someone say lobster? That's right! July 9-15 visit the City of Summerside where lobster suppers, harness racing, a street parade and so much more are ready to entertain you. Come and enjoy our famous PEI hospitality.
Lobster Races??
Looking for an authentic Island fishing experience? You'll get this and more at the Northport Aquatic Days Festival taking place July 6-8. Boat races, trap-hauling contests, lobster races, boat parade of lights, fireworks...these are just a sampling of the activities planned this year. And you will just have to attend to see exactly how a lobster race works.
Fun through learning
A range of interpretive activities are offered daily by Parks Canada throughout the Prince Edward Island National Park, including Greenwich and Green Gables, during the summer months. These interpretive programs tell stories of the land, people and events that shaped this country. These bilingual entertaining and educational activities are fun for the whole family!
