Brookvale Downhill Mountain Biking Course

A new downhill mountain biking course was opened in 2010 at Brookvale as a multi-use, year-round facility. Cycling PEI and Provincial Parks have worked closely on this project that offers cyclists a very unique and exciting style of riding. Downhill mountain biking courses can be found on many ski areas during off-season. At Brookvale, riders have access to the lift which will transport both riders and bikes to the top of the hill. At the summit, riders can choose from four runs for beginner to advanced skill levels. Runs consist of clearly identifiable paths with berms and rollers for an exciting downhill biking experience.

The course was designed under the supervision of Cycling PEI. All riders must wear a helmet and bikes will be inspected by Cycling PEI staff before riders are allowed access to the lift.

The Brookvale Downhill Mountain Biking Course will operate on Sundays until the end of August from 12 noon until 4 p.m. The cost of the lift ticket is $10. For more information, please contact Duncan Sturz at Cycling PEI, 368-4985.
