Carrot Loaf

1 1/3 Cups Cold Water
1 1/3 Cups White Sugar
4 Teaspoons Butter
1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
1 Cup Grated Carrots
1 Cup Raisins
1 Teaspoon Nutmeg

Boil all ingredients for 5 minutes and cool. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla and 1 egg. Add 2 cups flour, 1 teaspoon baking powder, 1 teaspoon baking soda and 1 teaspoon salt.
Bake in a well greased loaf pan for 1 hour at 350 F oven.
