Double Frosted Bourbon Brownies

3/4 Cup All Purpose Flour
1/4 Teaspoon Baking Soda
1/4 Teaspoon Salt
1/2 Cup Sugar
1/3 Cup Vegetable Shortening
2 Tablespoons Water
1 Package (6 ounces) Semisweet Chocolate Pieces
1 Teaspoon Vanilla
2 Eggs
1 1/2 Cups Coarsely Chopped Walnuts
1 Teaspoon Vanilla
4 Tablespoons Bourbon

Sift flour, baking soda and salt onto wax paper. Combine sugar, shortening and water in saucepan. Heat until sugar melts and mixture comes to boiling stirring constantly. Remove from heat, stir in chocolate pieces and vanilla until smooth.
Beat in eggs, one at a time, stir in flour mixture and walnuts. Spread in 9 x 9 greased pan.
Bake in moderate oven (325 - 350 F) for 30 minutes or until shiny on top. Remove from oven and sprinkle bourbon over top. Cool completely and then spread white frosting on top. Then put chocolate glaze over it.
Chocolate Glaze: Combine 1 six ounce package semisweet chocolate pieces and 1 tablespoon shortening in top of double boiler. Set over not, not boiling, water until melted. Spread this glaze over white icing. Freezes well.
