1 cup golden raisins
2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/3 cup shortening
2/3 cup milk
3 Tbsp. melted margarine
1/3 cup brown sugar, packed
1/4 tsp. cinnamon

Sift together flour, baking powder and salt and cut in shortening. Add milk and mix well. Turn out onto lightly floured board and roll to rectangle, about 10x14 inches. Combine 2 Tbsp. of the butter with brown sugar, cinnamon and raisins and spread over dough.

Roll up like a jelly roll. Place sealed edge down on lightly greased baking sheet and join ends to form a ring, seal. Make cuts 2/3 of way through ring at 1-inch intervals. Turn each section on its side. Brush with remaining butter.

Bake in hot (400 F) about 25 minutes until well browned.
