
Caramel Toffee Squares
This is a family favourite!
Base:
1/2 cup melted margarine
1 1/4 cup graham wafer crumbs
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup flour
2nd Layer:
1 cup melted margarine
3 Tbsp. corn syrup
1 cup brown sugar
1 can condensed milk
3rd Layer:
1/2 inch melted parawax
1 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Mix the base ingredients and press into 9x13-inch pan. Bake 325 F for 8 minutes.
Cook 2nd layer ingredients in medium size pot, stirring constantly. Bring to a boil and cook 4 minutes. Pour over base. Cool. For the 3rd layer, melt wax and chipits together and spread over caramel filling. Refrigerate.
