1 1/2 cups flour 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. salt 1 cup butter (soft) 1 cup brown sugar 1 1/2 cups rolled oats raisin filling Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt.Rub in butter with fingers. Add sugar and oats. Mix well (with finger tips). Spread half the mixture in a shallow pan (about 8x14-inch). Pat to smooth. Cover with cooled raisin filling, spreading evenly, and then cover with remaining crumbs. Pat smooth. Bake at 325 F for approximately 30 minutes. Cut in squares while hot and allow to cool in pan. Raisin Filling: 2 cups raisins 1 cup water 4 tsp. cornstarch Combine water and cornstarch, pour over raisins and cook until thickened. Proceed as given above. Submitted by Donna Power, Charlottetown.
