2 cups crushed vanilla wafers
1/2 cup butter
1 cup icing sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup chopped cashews (optional)
20-oz. can crushed pineapple, drained
1 cup whipping cream

Place half of crushed crumbs in bottom of 8-inch square pan. Blend butter and Icing sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs 1 at a time, beating well. Spread this mixture over crumbs. Sprinkle with nuts and crushed pineapple. Whip the cream until it forms peaks. Spread on top of pineapple. Cover with remainder of crumbs. Chill at least 4 hours before serving (or overnight).
