Sour Cream Scones

3 cups flour
1/2 cup shortening
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup candied fruit
1 cup sour cream (I add blend or milk to moisten more)

Mix flour and shortening with pasty blender. Add the rest of the ingredients. Add sour cream a bit at a time until dough forms a ball. Roll out on a lightly floured surface until 1/4 inch thick. Cut into triangular shapes. Bake 350 F for 25 minutes.
