1 cup butter
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 cup milk
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 8­oz. bottle maraschino cherries (drained and cut in half and floured with 1/2 cup for flour)

Mix the ingredients together and bake 1 hour at 300 F.
