This is a microwave recipe for Christmas candy.

1 cup butter or margarine
21/4 cups brown sugar
1 cup light corn syrup
1 can sweetened condensed milk
Dash of salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Place the butter in a large buttered mixing bowl. Microwave 1­2 minutes on medium­high to melt. Blend in brown sugar, syrup, sweetened condensed milk and salt. Cover with plastic wrap.

Microwave 10­12 minutes on high, stir well. Microwave uncovered 16­20 minutes on medium­high (240 F) or until candy forms balls in cold water. Mix in vanilla and pour into greased 12x7­inch baking dish. Cool to room temperature before cutting. Cut and wrap in individual pieces. (I use Christmas foil wrap). It is nice to add to a Christmas basket or tin.

Makes 84 one­inch candies
