Green Bean Casserole
Submitted by Joyce Mokler, Winchester, Mass., formerly of CharlThis makes an ideal vegetable to be served at a buffet or with
turkey dinner at Christmas.
2 cans (14 oz. each/398 mL each) cut green beans, drained *
1/2 cup (125 mL) milk
1 can (10 oz./285 mL) condensed or mushroom soup
1 can (79 g) French's French Fried onions (says on can, ``ideal
in casseroles'')
Pinch of ground pepper
Combine beans, milk, soup, pepper and half can of French's French Fried Onion. Pour into a casserole dish and bake uncovered in 375 F (190 C) oven for 30 minutes. Sprinkle remaining French's French Fried Onions on top and bake for another 5 minutes or until onions are golden brown. Makes 6 servings.
* You can substitute with fresh of frozen green beans. I find the canned green beans are not as delicious as the fresh or frozen kind.
