6 cups cranberry cocktail
2 cups water, room temperature
1/2 cup white sugar
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/3 cup rum, bourbon or orange juice
2 Tbsp. butter
3 PCs. 1inch lemon peel
3 PCs. 1inch cinnamon sticks
1 tsp. whole cloves
Combine the first 6 ingredients in a saucepan. Combine the last
3 ingredients in a piece of cheesecloth (or spice bag). Place
the spice bag in the saucepan with the other mixture. Bring to
a boil. Simmer, covered for 10 minutes. Remove the spice bag.
Serve hot. Garnish with cinnamon stick.
