24 chocolate chip cookies
5 sq. semisweet chocolate (you may use cocoa)
4 Tbsp. icing sugar
4 egg yolks
1/4 lb. butter or margarine
1/2 lb. fruits (cherries, pineapple, mixed peel)
Soak fruit in a small amount of liquor, enough to moisten well.
Crush cookies. Melt chocolate and add to it slightly beaten egg
yolks, sugar and butter. Add crushed cookies and fruit, stir
well. Put mixture in refrigerator for a few hours.
On a sheet of tin foil approximately 12x16 inches, roll mixture
in log shapes. Using tines of a fork, lines may be drawn on to
simulate bark on a log. Add a sprig of artificial holly to add
