Christmas Marzipan Bars

1 cup raspberry jam
1-1/3 cup white sugar
1 cup rice flour
1/4 tsp. salt
4 Tbsp. butter or margarine
4 Tbsp. milk
3 cups icing sugar
2 tsp. almond flavouring
Preheat the oven to 350 F.
Roll pie pastry and cover the bottom of 9x13inch pan. Spread
with 1 cup of jam. Cream together 1 cup margarine and 1-1/3 sugar
then blend in the eggs. Mix separately and then add the flour
and the salt to the creamed mixture. Drop onto raspberry covered
bottom with a spoon, then swirl the colors together to cover the
bottom. Bake for 35 minutes or until touch bounces back. Cream
the last four ingredients together and spread this on top of the
squares. Before serving sprinkle with colored sugar, red and green.
Cut into bars rather than squares.
