Christmas is an enjoyable time of year for me, especially as I love to bake. This is a recipe that I have been making since I started to bake. Everyone enjoys it from the very young to the oldest. It is very easy to make. I always make it for Christmas and every other occasion and family get­together we have.

1/2 cup butter or margarine
11/2 cups graham wafer crumbs
1 pkg. coconut
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 pkg. semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

Preheat oven to 350 F. In a 9­inch baking pan, melt butter in the oven. Sprinkle graham wafer crumbs evenly over butter, mix together and press in pan. Top evenly with coconut, then condensed milk. Bake 25 minutes or lightly browned. In a small saucepan over low heat, melt chocolate chips with peanut butter. Spread evenly over hot coconut layer. Chill 2 hours. Cut into squares and store loosely covered at room temperature. Makes 36 squares.
