Bran Bread

1 cup brown sugar
2 cups natural bran
2 cups flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 cups butter milk (half a liter)
1 cup raisins
1/2 cup coarsely chopped Nuts

Mix sugar and bran with sifted flour and baking soda and salt. Add buttermilk and stir in raisins and nuts. Pour into greased loaf pan. Bake at 350 F. for almost an hour. This loaf rises and looks almost like a loaf of bread. Extremely Easy - Extremely Healthy - and most important Extremely Good!!
