Delicious Gumdrop Cake
1/2 lb. butter
8 oz pkg. cream cheese
1 1/2 cups white sugar
2 1/4 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. baking powder
2 cups sugared Gumdrops (not black ones)
Slice gumdrops into 4 or 5 pieces. Do not use any black ones. Sprinkle 1/4 cup of flour over gumdrops, coating well. Beat butter and white sugar together. Add eggs one at a time and beat well after each addition. Beat in cream cheese and vanilla .
Add remaining flour, baking powder and gumdrop mixture. Mix well. Put into a tube pan lined with 2 layers of ungreased brown paper.
Bake at 350 F. for 70 - 80 minutes, or until a straw comes out
