Scotch Shortbread - 1999

1 cup cold butter , cream thoroughly (I use a wooden spoon) then gradually cream in 1/2 cup brown sugar.

Sift together 2 cups flour, 1/4 tsp. baking powder and 1/4 tsp. salt. Gradually cream into the butter and flour. (It will take awhile to do this).

When done, roll out gently to 1/4" thickness. Cut into squares or use your tiny cookie cutters. Bake at 325 - 350 F. for 15-20 minutes. You know your own oven.
