Cranberry Bread

1 cup cranberries (chopped)
1 3/4 cups flour
1 cup white sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
3/4 cup orange juice
1/4 cup vegetable oil

Sift dry ingredients. Stir in cranberries. Beat together the egg, juice and oil. Add to dry ingredients. Beat for about 1/2 minute. Batter will be lumpy. Pour into a greased loaf pan and bake in a 350 F. oven for 60 minutes. Submitted by Gail Feehan, Cornwall, P.E.I.
