Never Fail Scotch Cookies - 1999

1 lb. butter 1 heaping cup brown sugar 1 tsp. salt 2 tsp. vanilla 4 1/2 cups flour Roll in balls - press with a fork. Place 1/4 cherry in centre. Press again lightly. This recipe could be halved! 350 for 10 - 12 min. Submitted by Jessie Cain, Stratford, P.E.I.
