Nanna's Gingersnaps
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. salt
2/3 cup molasses
1 cup shortening
2 1/2 cups flour
2 tsp. baking soda
Mix sugar, flour, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger and salt together and then add to the sugar, shortening and molasses mixture.
Chill overnight or longer if desired.
Slice and bake 10-15 minutes at 350 F.
A favourite with my children and grandchildren.
