My name is Caleigh Burhoe. I am 7 years old. These are my favourite cookies. I make them with my mom all the time. GINGER SPARKLES 3/4 cup shortening 1 cup sugar 1/4 cup molasses 1 egg 2 cups flour 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. cloves 1/2 tsp. ginger 1/4 tsp. salt 2 tsp. baking soda sugar Beat shortening and sugar until light and fluffy. Add molasses and egg. Beat Well. Combine flour, soda, cinnamon, cloves, ginger and salt. Add to molasses mixture and mix well. Cover and refrigerate until chilled. Roll cookie dough into 1 balls, then roll in sugar. Place 2 apart on a greased cookies sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes at 350. Cool on baking sheet one minute then transfer to rack.
