1 cup margarine, softened 3/4 cup sugar, white 3/4 cup packed brown sugar 2 eggs 1/2 tsp. almond extract 2 1/4 cups all- purpose flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1/3 cup baking cocoa 1/2 tsp. salt 1 pkg. butterscotch chips, divided (10 oz.) Method: In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in extract. Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt, gradually add to creamed mixture. Set aside 1/4 cup chips; stir remaining chips into batter. Spread in greased pan 9 x 12 baking pan. Sprinkle with reserved chips. Bake at 375 for 25 or 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the centre comes out clean. Cool before cutting. Submitted by Erma Hughes, Charlottetown.
