Pumpkin Cranberry Muffins

3/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup molasses
1/2 cup softened butter
1 egg (beaten)
2/3 cup mashed pumpkin
1/3 cup whole cranberry sauce
1 3/4 cup flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 cup pecan halves


Preheat oven to 375 F. Cream first three ingredients together. Add next three ingredients and blend well. In a separate bowl, combine flour, soda and salt. beat dry ingredients into moist mixture. Fold in pecans. Fill well greased muffin tins 3/4 full. bake about 25 minutes or until firm.
