That Dance Show
Featuring 10 of the country's finest professional dancers and 10 talented young locals, That Dance Show takes a look at the history of dance and its finest moments from the days of Vaudeville to contemporaries such as Cirque Du Soleil. Along the way the audience experiences how social change and evolution influenced the way we move. That Dance Show features numbers like the Charleston, Jive, the Twist, Break Dancing, Circus and pays tribute to the worlds greatest choreographers and dancers.
Abegweit Pow Wow
Come and celebrate our Island Native heritage at this year's Abegweit Pow Wow, held August 18-19 on beautiful Panmure Island. Enjoy a nature walk on the Medicine Trail, visit a sweat lodge, teepees and wigwams. Vendors will be on hand to sell unique and beautiful native crafts, as well as delicious Indian tacos!.
Island Motorcycle Rally
The Prince Edward Island Motorcycle Touring Club (PEIMTC) is excited to once again hold their Island Rally at the Vacationland RV Park in Brackley Beach August 31 to September 2. Last year over 450 new and old friends joined in their annual shindig. An all-you-can-eat hip of beef buffet, a poker run, bike competitions and more are sure to make this a bike rally you won't want to miss.
North Cape Coastal Ride
September 8-9 don't miss the North Cape Coastal Ride, a unique and challenging two-day event that appeals to both elite and recreational cyclists. This newly staged road cycling ride begins at the Northwestern tip of Prince Edward Island and traces much of the North Cape Coastal Drive, promising charming countryside and coastal vistas. Participants can pedal the full 182.4 km over the two-day period or may choose to participate in just one day of the ride.
PEI International Shellfish Festival
September 14-16 take part in a celebration of PEI shellfish including oysters, lobster, mussels and clams. Featuring great Maritime entertainment, the PEI/World Invitational Oyster Shucking Championships, the PEI/International Chowder Championships, culinary demos and much more. Shellfish lovers - this is an event you won't want to miss!
