Canada Day in Charlottetown, Canada's Birthplace

This year, plan to celebrate Canada's birthday in Charlottetown - the Birthplace of Confederation - at the Atlantic Superstore Festival of Lights. For visitors looking to take a break from the celebrations, try a stroll through the waterfront setting of Confederation Landing Park, take a walk up historic Great George Street to Province House where Canada was first conceived, or spend a few quiet moments browsing through shops and boutiques at nearby Peake's Wharf. And this year's entertainment lineup is sure to be a hit - Nickelback, Hedley, Buckcherry and Finger Eleven are just some of the bands which will entertain audiences this year.

Aerosmith tickets are now on sale

On July 21 Aerosmith lands their 2007 World Tour in Atlantic Canada with a live performance at the CDP Entertainment Centre in Charlottetown. Prince Edward Island. One of only four North American dates! Get your tickets now!

Two Hours Traffic Rocks the Mack

The popular Island group Two Hours Traffic is back in Charlottetown and rockin' the Mackenzie Theatre in Charlottetown on Saturday, May 19, with fellow Maritime indie rockers Mardeen and Smothered in Hugs. With a sound that is alt-country and power pop, Two Hours Traffic is deservedly at the fore of the Canadian Maritime pop revival.

Red Island Relay

On Saturday, June 2, take part in the Red Island Relay at the beautiful Brudenell Provincial Park. Teams of six, two or solo competitors will compete in the relay which consists of two runs, a road and mountain bike leg, and a canoe or kayak leg. This fundraiser event will support the Canadian Red Cross and the Heart & Stroke Foundation of PEI. Great prizes and great fun await!

Lobster Stuffed Potatoes!

Wharves are now busy as Island fisherman bring in their catch of fresh lobster daily. The spring lobster fishing opened on the Island's north shore May 1 and continues to June 30. Enjoy the fresh seafood while you are here and be sure to take some home with you - most seafood outlets will pack for travel. If you can get your hands on fresh lobster, or just pick up some frozen, then we have a recipe for you. Try our Lobster Stuffed Potatoes - you won't be disappointed!
