Orwell, Prince Edward Island

The site of the MacPhail Homestead, preserved and commemorated at Orwell Corner, the region exemplifies the proud Scottish heritage shared by so many Islanders. At Orwell Corner, designated a National Historic Site, visitors can learn about the lives and times of P.E.I`s early settlers. Serving as a microcosm of the Island as a whole, the Orwell region encompasses the three major industries of fishing, farming and forestry and also offers a variety of landscapes ranging from coastal cliffs and beaches, forests and rolling farmland to the ever-present sea.

Orwell is part of the Points East Coastal Drive Touring Region.
