Treat your guests to some easy to prepare finger foods. In the summer, these can be cooked over the charcoal on an outdoor grill.
24 cooked, shucked mussels
1/4 tsp/1 ml salt
1/4 tsp/1 ml pepper
1/4 tsp/1 ml paprika
12 slices of bacon, cut in halves
Sprinkle mussels lightly with salt, pepper and paprika. Roll in bacon strips, fasten with wooden toothpicks and arrange on a wire rack. Bake in a 400 degree F (200 degree C) oven for 15 minutes. Turn and bake until bacon is crisp (aproximately 10 minutes).
