Cats and dogs must be free of diseases communicable to humans. Dogs must be accompanied by a current rabies vaccination certificate.
Dogs are not permitted on beaches in PEI National Park annually between April 1 and October 15, annually, for reasons of conservation and public health and safety. They are permitted on the walking trails and in other areas of the park, but must be on a leash no more than 3 metres (10 feet) in length. Owners are required to pick up after their pets.
Dogs are allowed on Provincial Park beaches as long as they are leashed and the owners pick up after them.
