10 cups green tomatoes, chopped
20 cups water
5 cups apples, chopped
1/2 lb. suet
6 cups brown sugar
1 lb. mixed peel
1 cup vinegar
Salt to taste
1 Tbsp. cinnamon
1 Tbsp. cloves
1 Tbsp. nutmeg
Add water to chopped tomatoes and boil gently for 1 hour. Let stand overnight.
Drain. Add next 5 ingredients and salt. Mix well. Boil gently 2 hours. Stir in spices. Pour into sterilized jars.
