This is a microwave recipe for Christmas candy.
1 cup butter or margarine
21/4 cups brown sugar
1 cup light corn syrup
1 can sweetened condensed milk
Dash of salt
1 tsp. vanilla
Place the butter in a large buttered mixing bowl. Microwave 12 minutes on mediumhigh to melt. Blend in brown sugar, syrup, sweetened condensed milk and salt. Cover with plastic wrap.
Microwave 1012 minutes on high, stir well. Microwave uncovered 1620 minutes on mediumhigh (240 F) or until candy forms balls in cold water. Mix in vanilla and pour into greased 12x7inch baking dish. Cool to room temperature before cutting. Cut and wrap in individual pieces. (I use Christmas foil wrap). It is nice to add to a Christmas basket or tin.
