2009, we are proud to be the hosts, for the very first time in Canada, of the Golf Channel’s “Big Break Prince Edward Island.” You don’t need to be a golfer to enjoy watching the contestants and seeing what the Island has to offer. Prince Edward Island also be hosted the Canada Games from August 15-29 where Canada’s top young athletes and artists competed at events held across the Island. Prince Edward Island looks forward to being your host, and we will work hard to make this year’s vacation your best ever.

Riverdance to play Charlottetown Festival, Prince Edward Island RIVERDANCE farewell tour to play The Charlottetown Festival, Prince Edward Island, Canada Riverdance, the thunderous celebration of Irish music, song and dance that has tapped its way onto the world stage thrilling millions of people around the globe, will play 18 farewell performances at The Charlottetown Festival this October. These performances at The Confederation Centre of the Arts will mark Riverdance’s only Maritime performances on their farewell tour. Each year from June to September, only wonderful things can happen as the Charlottetown Festival unites Canada's finest performers, designers, playwrights, composers, and directors in a professional showcase of musical theatre and comedy. BIG BREAK; Prince Edward Island P.E.I. is the first ever Canadian host for GOLF CHANNELS reality style TV show: Big Break. Showcasing highly skilled golfers competing against each other in a variety of challenges that test their physical skills and mental toughness, with the ultimate winner awarded his/her “Big Break.”
