Emergency Service

The Province-wide 911 Emergency Response System is in place in PEI. The system is capable of linking visitors with translators in 140 different languages. Callers will be linked to the appropriate emergency service provider - police, fire or ambulance.

If you require emergency services, dial 911 from anywhere in Prince Edward Island. A 911 emergency is when a person's health, safety or property is threatened and that person needs immediate assistance.

The ability to describe your location when using a cell phone to dial 911 is important.

There are eight hospitals in Prince Edward Island and several medical clinics are available.
