Where is the best island food available - even if it’s off the beaten track. Looking for down home everyday food, interesting places to see, not just the tourist traps.

General Island

Hello Carol,

That's a great question! I would recommend The Handpie Company, The Maroon Pig, The Lady Slipper Café Express in Wood Islands, The Malpeque Oyster Barn, By The Bay Family RestaurantThe Lobster Barn Pub and Eatery, Café Chez Cartier, La Trappe Resto-BarThe Boat Shop and The Catch as some great places to start. I also really enjoy recommending Rick's Fish and Chips, The PEI Preserve Company, The Blue Mussel Cafe and The Point Prim Chowder House which have become famous to some, but they became popular for very good reasons.

Happy eating!
