Prince Edward Island may be new to the craft brewery scene but it is already excelling. Talented brewers and local support have put these breweries on the map.
Barnone Brewery and Hop Farm: Located in the rolling hills of Rose Valley, Barnone Brewery is the only beer farm on the Island. Visit the barn to get a first-hand look at the process, as well as listen to some music in the loft while looking out at the incredible view.
Moth Lane Brewing: Located in Ellerslie, Moth Lane Brewing will be opening in summer 2016.
PEI Brewing Company: Winners of four gold medals at the 2016 Canadian Brewing Awards and Conference, the PEI Brewing Company is a brewer and distributor of all-natural craft beer located in Charlottetown. Great entertainment, food, and insightful tours make this a great brewery to check off the list.
The Gahan House: Conveniently located in downtown Charlottetown in a historic building, The Gahan House offers a restaurant, beer retail, as well as the Brewery. Take a tour downstairs, and then head upstairs for a bite to eat. Gahan prides itself on being a great spot to meet up with friends and enjoy a relaxed unique atmosphere, as well as their delicious handcrafted ales.
Upstreet Craft Brewing: Upstreet believes in community almost as much as they believe in making the best possible beer. Their location in downtown Charlottetown is a gathering place to come together with friends, to meet your neighbours and to celebrate camaraderie over a beer and a few laughs.
