Hot Chocolate Sauce

1/4 cup cocoa
1 cup white sugar
shake of salt
2 tsp. vanilla
1 Tbsp. butter
1/2 cup water

Mix together and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and cook a few minutes. Serve over vanilla ice cream or a white cake (not iced). It's also an excellent syrup to make chocolate milk shakes. Submitted by Shelley McKenna, Kensington.
