Giant Bar Clam Dig

This 4-hour adventure starts in historic Georgetown aboard the newly renovated 45-foot lobster style boat, the “Tranquility.” Passengers will explore the deserted island of Boughton, dig and dive for giant bar clams and comb the beaches and sandbars. Clamming is followed by a beach-bake of steamed clams - so fresh! Captain Perry’s father and grandfather lived on Boughton, so he has lots of stories to tell about this special place. On the way back to the dock, Captain Perry will haul a mussel sock, a rock crab pot, and a lobster trap, showing and telling passengers all about these fishing industries here on PEI before passing by the Panmure Island Lighthouse, the oldest wooden lighthouse on PEI,for a photo from the water. To finish up, visit the local harbour seal colony, 60+ strong!
