Terry Fox Run - On Sunday, September 20th people had the incredible opportunity of running or walking across the Confederation Bridge to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Marathon of Hope.

Samuel Holland 250 - The focus of the Samuel Holland 250 celebrations was to educate Islanders and visitors about Samuel Holland, the historical significance of the map, its profound influence on our Island identity, and how it continues to define us today. It will also provided an ideal opportunity to celebrate and explore the Island that his map helped to create.


PEI 2014 Celebrations - Prince Edward Island and all of Canada celebrated an important chapter in our history in 2014, as we marked the 150th anniversary of the 1864 Charlottetown Conference - where the idea of Canada, as a nation, was proposed. The Island hosted a spectacular year-long tribute to the beginning of this great country and welcomed visitors to join the festivities.

Shania Twain Rocked Prince Edward Island! - As part of the PEI 2014 celebrations Shania Twain performed a special concert on Saturday, August 30th. The concert was Twain's first performance in Atlantic Canada in 15 years and the first time she has ever performed in Prince Edward Island.

Prince Charles and Camilla Visit Prince Edward Island - Britain's Prince Charles along with his wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall visited the Island during their May 18 - 21, 2014 tour of Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Manitoba. On May 19th and 20th they visited the communities of Charlottetown, Bonshaw and Cornwall. Prince Charles's last visit to Prince Edward Island was in 1983 and this was the Duchess of Cornwall's first visit to the Island.

East Coast Music Awards 2014 - During April 2-6, 2014 Charlottetown hosted the 26th Eastlink East Coast Music Week (ECMW). This is Atlantic Canada's biggest musical celebration and Pat Deighan and Jennifer Evans were the Co-Chairs for the event.

Metro Credit Union Music PEI Week - The biggest celebration of PEI's music was held January 24 - February 1, 2014 across venues across the Island. Concerts, workshops, and songwriters circles showcased local talent.


Sting Back to Bass Tour - Following the critical and popular success of Sting's 2011-2012 world tour throughout North America, Europe, the UK, South Africa, and Asia, we were thrilled to have Sting bring his Back to Bass tour to Summerside's Credit Union Place on June 24, 2013.


Royal Tour - In July 2011, Canada welcomed Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge as they embarked on their first overseas tour as a married couple. The royal tour took place from June 30 to July 8, 2011 and included Alberta, the Northwest Territories, Prince Edward Island, Quebec and the National Capital Region. As part of the royal tour, the Duke and Duchess visited Prince Edward Island on July 3 and 4.


LIVE With Regis and Kelly - Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa brought LIVE’s own brand of entertainment-oriented talk to the Island, with the natural beauty of the province providing a colourful backdrop to the show’s celebrity guests and musical performances. LIVE’s viewers joined them in experiencing the wide range of activities that PEI has to offer, as they explored the Island from end to end, and delved into the region’s history, food and culture.


PEI Hosts Big Break - Prince Edward Island, Canada played host to the Big Break, a GOLF CHANNEL TV reality style show.  This was the first time the show had been hosted in Canada. Male ad female contestants from across North America came to Mill River Golf Course in Prince Edward Island to compete in a variety of challenges that tested physical skills and mental toughness, the winner awareded their "Big Break". The Big Break Prince Edward Island series began April 20, 2009.
