Wood Islands Welcome Centre

The Gateway to eastern PEI. Keep right as you head up the hill after disembarking from ferry. Whether it's your first PEI visit or a "Welcome home" experience, our authentic heritage-themed buildings make a great first impression: Visitor Information Centre (PEI Tourism); Sweet Factory (candy, ice cream, and souvenir store); Lady Slipper Express (restaurant) in our quaint replica train station; Pure PEI Island Gold Honey; cold beer and liquor store with ice for coolers; and our new Commissary with provisions you might need. Picnic tables and shelter area in lovely gardens. Start the Confederation Trail (walking or cycling) right here. Dogs on leash can stretch their legs! The Wood Islands Welcome Centre is owned and operated by the Wood Islands and Area Development Corporation, a not-for-profit community group. Easy parking for RVs.
