Located just a stones throw from Fairways Cottages second entrance is the Haunted Woods Trail to Anne’s House. Interpretive programs and personalized tours are offered to visitors during the months of May to October. These tours highlight the heritage of the area and explain the significance of the site as the setting for this beloved world’s best seller. The grounds and trails are magical.
Your picnic snack includes imported crackers, an assortment of Babybel cheeses, fresh fruit, trail mix bars, bottled water, Dad’s chocolate chip or oatmeal cookies, a bottle of Strawberry & Grand Mariner PEI Preserves and a bottle of Wild Blueberry with Champagne PEI Preserves. Whether a couple enjoying a romantic escape or honeymoon or a family enjoying our beautiful Island, this activity is a favourite amongst Fairways Cottages guests. Matthews Carriage Ride is located at the Anne of Green Gables Museum at Park Corner Campbell home, that L.M. Montgomery called the “wonder castle of my childhood”. While located only a short 15 minute drive from Fairways, we encourage our guests to plan a little extra time as the route is one of the most picturesque on the Island.
