Stanhope & Ross Lane Beach National Park

Location: Green Gables Shore

Supervised Beach: Yes

Stanhope Beach is wide and stretches up to 3 kilometres (km) in one direction along the Gulf Shore Parkway, past Ross Lane Beach to Stanhope Cape and 2 km east to Dalvay-By-the-Sea, a National Historic Site of Canada and popular attraction. Nearby is the iconic Covehead Harbour Lighthouse that is touted to be one of the top photo spots on Prince Edward Island.

At the main beach entrance, find accessible washrooms, wheelchair mobility mats, designated parking and beach wheelchairs. Ross Lane has parking and composting toilets. One entrance fee applies for access to both locations.

National Park Beach Safety

Lifeguards are on duty at PEI National Park locations between July and Labour Day. They aim to post surf conditions each day by 11 am.

Located just 23km from Charlottetown, Stanhope Beach is part of Green Gables Shore and is one of seven supervised beaches in the PEI National Park.
