Winter Coastal Experiences of PEI

Prince Edward Island has three coastal drives and two cities to explore. In winter, we promise there isn’t a prettier sight than this Island dusted with snow. You’ll stop again and again for photos of white country churches, brightly painted fish shacks and hibernating fishing boats, frozen red cliffs and other iconic landmarks.

North Cape Coastal Drive

Up west, you can experience top-notch PEI hospitality, cultures and tastes from fast to fancy. PEI Potatoes and oysters may be staples, but there is no shortage of comfort food here.

Summerside

In Summerside, explore downtown on foot along the waterfront boardwalk to discover a great Saturday farmers' market, museums and a growing list of restaurants and take-outs.

Central Coastal Drive

This region stretches from the Confederation Bridge to the south to the Cavendish Beach area and the fishing village of North Rustico to the north. Plan some time to discover the hidden gems of the area.

Greater Charlottetown Area

There's never a shortage of inspiring things to do in Charlottetown in winter. Here, you'll find live music and culture to food, sports and shopping.

Points East Coastal Drive

Out here in the east end, discover PEI's newest attraction, the Mysa Nordic Spa, great culinary and craft beer options, live entertainment as well as unique places to stay.
