If I have a roof top tent where can I sleep for free. I don’t need a camping site for every night

Good morning from PEI.
Thank you for reaching out on Ask an Islander. We are pleased to hear you are coming to PEI for a camping holiday.
We don’t currently have any designated camping spots that are free in PEI. It is quite restrictive where you can park and camp for free. For example, you cannot park or camp in the public right of away overnight. You need a park permit to camp overnight in provincial and federal parks.
To ensure the best experience on your vacation, we would recommend camping in one of our beautiful campgrounds across the province. We have private, provincial and federal campgrounds that are in beautiful areas of the province. We have camped in many of them over the years. Some are right at the beach, and you would just pay for an unserviced site.
Please check out tourism PEI guide for campground across the province.
Have a wonderful vacation. You can make wonderful memories here in PEI.
Thank you,
Wade & Marney MacKinnon.
