Provincial measures to protect the health and safety of Islanders and our visitors as the COVID-19 situation continues includes closing of Mark Arendz Provincial Ski Park at Brookvale, as of March 16, for the season.

To celebrate Island athlete, Mark Arendz on his success in the Paralympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang, the province renamed Brookvale Provincial Park to the Mark Arendz Provincial Ski Park at Brookvale.

The park is located in the central part of Queens County and has lots of fun activities for winter enthusiasts of all ages, including x-country and alpine skiing, snowboarding, and snowshoeing. During the summer months the Nordic Centre offers mountain biking, hiking trails and a summer biathlon program.

The ski park has a mandatory helmet policy for all users of the downhill facility. Rental helmets are available.

A Provincial State of Emergency was declared on April 17, 2020 stating that all non-essential travel into Prince Edward Island is prohibited at this time.
While there is still uncertainty of the days ahead, we will update as information is made available and travel restrictions are lifted.
