Festival of Small HallsOver 40 quaint community halls across the Island where big-league performers return to the rural stages!

Festival of Small Halls

The PEI Festival of Small Halls is a traditional music, dance and storytelling event held annually across the province. This acclaimed festival kicks off summer each June with concerts in 30-plus charming rural community halls from tip to tip of the Island. A consistent ECMA-nominee for event of the year, this summer festival highlights PEI’s Scottish, Irish and Acadian heritage as well as deep storytelling and songwriting roots, and features first-rate performers from PEI, Atlantic Canada and abroad. Many of the Islanders who perform return to the very rural stages where they first learned to love performing for a hometown crowd.

During the Fetival of Small Halls a wonderful medley of roots and old time music will take place in ancestral rural halls of all shapes and sizes.
