The Most Unexpected Mountain Biking Haven

Who would have ever thought that flat Prince Edward Island would have great mountain biking? The Island has a number of great trails including trail systems including Strathgartney Provincial Park, Cardigan Trail, Bonshaw Provincial Park, and Mark Arendz Provincial Park at Brookvale. Brookvale alone offers over 20km of varied single track trails. The trail network consists of a combination of flat, smooth terrain, flowy machine built trail and old-school rooty, technical riding all carved through the famous red PEI dirt. “I would have never in a million years guessed that the Island had mountain biking trails like this.” is something we’ve been hearing over and over on the Island in recent years.  Riders who ride in Colorado or the Rockies frequently comment that PEI's mountain biking trails are amazing - it's because of the design and technique required.
