Canoe Cove

The beach in Canoe Cove is located at the Lloyd Inman Memorial Park, which is operated and maintained by the community.  Located along the Northumberland Strait, this beach is most spectacular at low tide. Amenities include unsupervised beach, accessibility ramp, on-site canteen, playground, washroom and shower facilities, picnic areas and outdoor interpretive panels.

Canoe cove was once the place where the Mi’kmaq (the Indigenous people of the Island) brought British soldiers ashore by canoe, hence the community name.

LIFEGUARD NOT ON DUTY at this time. When beaches are UNSUPERVISED, visitors swim at their OWN RISK.
