Walk in the footsteps of one of Canada's most celebrated authors and immerse yourself in the landscape that inspired the setting of Anne of Green Gables. Part of L.M. Montgomery's Cavendish National Historic Site, Green Gables tells the story of both the author, L.M. Montgomery, and her most famous heroine, Anne Shirley. Explore the new visitor centre, original house, 19th century gardens, farmyard, walking trails - including the Haunted Wood and Lovers Lane - gift shop and The Cordial Café. In July and August, enjoy animated bilingual interpretive activities and meet Anne Shirley! Group reservations requested. Visit our website for more information about this national treasure. The trails at Green Gables Heritage Place are open and all are invited to come explore the site and trails, and enjoy a picnic on the scenic and historic grounds.
Daily, Sep 13-Oct 31, 10 am-4 pm. Nov by special appointment. Hours for the “Ropes Down Tour,”: Fri, Sat, and Sun, 4 pm-5 pm from Sep 13-Sep 26. Reservations are required 24 hours in advance of the program. Please reserve online (https://store.cavendishbeachpei.com and then select “Parks Canada” as the facility).
