Originally a full-service restaurant, once owned by the grandfather of celebrity chef Matty Matheson, it continues today under new ownership as a restaurant, bakery, and convenience store. Interestingly, its name lives on beyond Desable; Matheson's farm in Ridgeway, Ontario, is called "Blue Goose Farm."
